About the Founder

Michelle

Enveloped in a world of art and vintage allure from a tender age, Michelle's passion ignited under the loving guidance of her artist grandmother. The bustling streets of Haight Street, San Francisco, became her playground, where she uncovered the stories behind each vintage treasure that adorned the eclectic stores. Fueling her passion further, she pursued a degree in Art History and delved deeper into the art world, building a career in the museum, art gallery, and e-commerce websites dedicated to preserving and selling vintage furniture, art, and decor.

In 2015, her love for collecting vintage gems materialized into The Rubber Sol, an enchanting project that blossomed into a heartfelt endeavor to share her cherished finds with the world.

Over the last 6 remarkable years, her entrepreneurial journey has been firmly rooted in the magical realms of weddings and events. With over 200 enchanting weddings under her belt, she has become a seasoned expert in the art of creating unforgettable moments, tirelessly helping couples weave the tapestry of their dream day. Initially a humble vintage seller, her abundant knowledge of the event world propelled The Rubber Sol to new heights, offering rentals that cater to the pain points experienced by couples and corporate events alike. Driven by her unwavering passion for vintage gems and her wealth of industry experience, she curates an awe-inspiring inventory that breathes life into event designs, crafting stunning spaces that leave hearts brimming with joy.
